AK Double Picatinny Rail Side Mount With Quick Detachable/Lock Lever. Fully Adjustable For Most Side Rail Variants. STANG Dimension w/12 Slots On Top Rail and 8 Slots On Side RailMade by Leapers, this double-rail AK side mount sports a lever that enables you to quickly attach or detach it to or from your gun. The mount is fully adjustable for most side rail variants and is precision-machined to fit most AKs and AK variants. It features double Picatinny rails for the scope and offers optimal clearance to fit all tactical scopes right on top of the bore centerline. The mount is also designed to accommodate STANAG-style scopes.

Question by Ryan Ly: What kind of scope mount can I use that works with the Javelin AK74?
I have a Javelin AK74 with real wood and it’s full metal. But the only AK-style scope mount that I have is a UTG AK scope mount and it’s not compatible. What scope mounts work? Please have links with the answers if possible.

This review is from: UTG 5th Gen Quick Detachable Double Rail AK Side Mount (Sports) If you are like me, you are always nervous when buying on amazon. Am i Getting Ripped off? Some reviews are good, some are bad, what am I getting? I received this scope on time, and right out of the box (like a kid on Christmas) I excitedly attached it to my WASR-10 7.63X39 AK 47. It fit right on, no pushing tweaking forcing or effort, it just slid right on like it was a original part of the gun. I was thrilled. It latched on tightly with the lever and held like a rock. Then popped it back off, and on, and off, and on a bunch of times and was amazed how easy it was and how good it latched on. The lever is not flimsy, as some say, not at all (cant see where they got that from). I was impressed, all of my scopes and red dots fit it, both picatinny and weaver. So the real test, took it to the range, fired for 2 hrs, till my gun was too hot to touch! It kept its zero just fine, thing holds like a champ. Next time to the range, still held zero, took it off, popped it back on, still dead on zero. Lastly its not way to the side like some AK side mounts, its pretty much right over the center, if i didn’t know to look for this i never would have taken notice (almost all ak side mounts are a centimeter or so to the left or right if you didn’t know, makes them look goofy). Its an awesome side mount, its not terribly expensive, if you are like me you have looked at this one for several days now and cant get the confidence to go ahead and buy it. So from another fellow nervous amazon buyer, go ahead, do it, the thing rocks, you will be pleased. Also not that it matters, it looks AWESOME! on the gun. Since I got this rail I have put it on several different weapons with variations in side rails; it fit everyone of them perfectly with minor adjustments that could be done by a blind monkey. It is easy and quick to mount. It sits nicely above the receiver and stays out of the way of all necessary equipment. It is quick and easy to take off – just in case you have optics failure and need to switch back to iron sights. The best thing I can say about this mount is that, after hastily removing it and reattaching (as may be needed in a tactical situation) the mounted optics and sight retained “0″ position. Even after “bump-firing” the weapon, the mount maintained its integrity without loosening. I highly recommend this product. It is not only affordable, but reliable and well built. It is practical for both professional and recreational use. The seller was also superb. Great job UTG and Amazon! who is promoting this cheap scope mounts for an AK – mounted on the dust cover? some I saw are on the handles, some are mounted to the back of an iron sight, but the best one is on the side of the receiver which? you can see on this video, it is where military spec finding the most reliable place to mount a scope, I am not talking about red dot , flashlight or others puny accessories, even better if the receiver is not stamped, so get a ream stuff do not waist your $ on someone’s crazy ideas.

Thanks…i got a sight mark tactical red dot..cost 80$…so i should be find, the beryl scope mount wont fit on mine, it cumstom so my back end is a lil different, i had a side? mount but i have to take off my stock everytime 2 take off and on, So im sure this will do fine. I have a cheap red dot! Thanks for your help and info!
for cheaper red dots though this is a great item. also check out the beryl mount. its probabily the best option for the money. and did i mention it looks cool?? you can also go with a front quad rail and mount it on that. as well i have some utg’s in stock
i would say for the price point its awesome!!! and for the standard red dot it will work just fine. if your doing something like a eotech i would suggest a beryl scope mount “around 50 bucks” or even something a little more high? tech.
How does it hold up when u shoot! The slide mount dont fit on my ak, cuz of the stock i have on it, i would? have to take off my stock every time to take off the rail, so i need a rail like this for my red dot, as long as it dont fly off whn i shoot it than its good to go! So how does it hold up!
if your gun has a side scope mount i would get one of those instead. but for red dots “not maginfied scopes” i? think it would be ok
It looks like a light weight, low profile alternative to have a side mounted rail system that goes up and over. I was looking for a set up? that wasn’t just a block of steal sitting on the side of my gun so this looks cool. My only concern is how stable the optic is. Seems like if you had hot loads and were bench resting it at 100yds, the scope would be all over the place, even with the stabilizing screws. thanks for the vid chief, any thoughts on this though?
