Unlike others who merely repeat a story or two that they’ve heard, Mr. Senich examines the tactical and technical side of sniping and provides for the reader a look at both the evolution of the sniper’s weapon and the revolution in his employment. His research into patents, optics, rifles and sniper employment is unparalled and far superior to the mishmash of gimmicky sniper guides you find written by snakeoil salesmen these days. 12 of 12 people found the following review helpful Fact filled, a good read !, August 7, 2001 By “andy2503″ (Nederland, Texas USA) – This review is from: The One-Round War: USMC Scout-Snipers In Vietnam (Paperback) As one who attended the Marine Corps Scout Sniper School in 1966, I was pleased to find that this book was not just some “feel good” propaganda. There was the actual story, warts and all, about the rocky beginnings of the program and the evolution from PX rifles to the rifles of today. This book is loaded with readable tecnical information about both the eqipment and the Marines pulling the trigger. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful sniper rifle collector, October 2, 2008 By P. Talavera – This review is from: The One-Round War: USMC Scout-Snipers In Vietnam (Paperback) before finding these books by Peter R Senich i’ve shearched for years on the internet and spent hours at bookstores trying to find any information on the usmc sniper rifles of the vietnam era and other eras. and they were big wastes of time. very little to no info is out there; but these books hold more info on the subject of sniping (and equipment) in our military’s history than you can find in years of serching on your own.thanks Peter R Senich! That is not true. Like ColbertNation88 already said, Germans had many allies and we Bosniaks are one of the best friends of Hitler.
The German Wehrmacht & Waffen SS:
13th Bosnian Handschar SS Division
Croatian Ustasa SS Division
Albanian Skanderberg SS
Ostturkisher Waffen-Verband der SS
Turkistan
Freies Arabien Bergkaukasien SS
Nordkaukasein
Idel Ural
Aserbaidschan
Armenian Legion
and many more…
?
there is a big difference between german and? nazi
dude you people read to much propaganda. germany had quite a bit of allies and hadt he greatest military of the 20th century and one of the best periods. and yeah. have you met a nazi party member? you know hitler’s actions were wrong. but he did created a powerfull military power. and he could not be more true “because you believe whatever a great number of people tell you.”?
@TheCriswell its like u know “we won war (allies) so theres no war crimes we did”? and so on
nazi swine. Cowards and murderers. Got kicked? to hell by the Amis and Russians. The vermin of history.
google translator? …
moron
.I.
taz “efermo” se o hitler não? fosse estupido a II GM teria durado mais de 5 anos na europa…
Thats such BS, the Germans had many Allies during ww2, you didnt see them killing em?
The only thing stupid is yourself, have you ever met a member of the nazi party? Or are you basing ALL your knowledge on what others have told you. Im guessing the second.
You would have been a nazi in ww2, because? you believe whatever a great number of people tell you.
Germany was a good country and? very well trained soldiers but i hate them Nazis!!!!!!!!!! if you weren’t German then they hated you pretty much and that is really stupid…
sooo true.. I dont agreed what they did ,warcrimes and so on. But they were best from the best. Real high training, best soldiers of? all time ,for me
Hi,Ive seen it on wikepedia,I checked the obituari and it reads “Joseph Allerberger” 85 years old. Wikepedia claims its him but I find it odd the obit. spelled it “joseph” when its always? been spelled “Josef”
where did you here this because he means a lot to me and i have read his book? and everything and it would be horrible if he died even tho he has lived a long life
i have great respect? for nazi germany…
Germany in those years was and remains the best army in the HISTORY. the reason that Germany lost the 2WW was why he had to deal with more than 20 countries ALONE!!!, URSS could not win the war alone, because rooselvelt and churchill lent financial and military aid, and they (that 3 genocides), handled the propaganda for them, and encouraged other countries that were unrelated to the armed conflict, thats why Germany lose the war.
But people do not realize that those? 3 men were MURDERERS!
