It fitted directly on my 303 as if it was made like that for the rifle back in the 1942′s, when my rifle was made. I love it for I did not need to make any Mods to fit it. My rifle still looks origenal as it was. Most people Sport their rifle and if you don’t want to sport it but still have a Scope fitted, this is definitly the mount to go for. This review is from: Sun Optics USA Collectible Military Scope Mount, Smle Mk III .303 Caliber (Receiver Mount) (Sports) mount came within 4 days of ordering. all parts where included. mount was easy to install and very sturdy. looks great on the gun and can still use the factory rear sight. which was a big plus for me. if using a long scope then will need some tall scope mounts to keep the scope out of the way of the iron sights. i installed a 6-24×44 BSA scope with 2 sun shields on it. it functions flawlessly and ejects the spent brass great. thank you Steve at SBDGlobal for the great product.
