About the nClamp Video and SLR Camera Mount
With an nClamp video camera mount, you’ll clamp and stabilize your camera, video camera, binoculars, scope and similarly threaded optical devices in seconds — no tripod required. The nClamp camera mount is compatible with all devices having a standard 1/4″-20 tripod screw.
the nClamp mount can support up to 3 lbs. (1.4 kg) of weight, easily managing SLR’s and consumer digital video cameras as well as compact digital cameras.
The nClamp head, manufactured by RAM Mounting Systems, includes one anodized aluminum ball, a high-strength composite coupler, and a high-strength composite base with a steel 1/4″-20 stud — no ABS plastic parts.
The coupler’s large handle can be loosened for positioning your camera, and tightened with a single hand. The head assembly can easily stabilize its payload.
The nClamp includes a “Pony” clamp, manufactured by Adjustable Clamp Company, with steel jaws capable of opening up to 2″ (5.1 cm). The Pony’s trademark orange tips protect and grip the surface that it is clamped on to, and its handles make the clamp easier to squeeze open with a single hand. Competitive spring-clamp products are a cheap imported imitations of the classic Pony clamp.
The nClamp camera mount includes a marine-grade nylon-coated bungee tether and a 2″ plated-steel breech clip, giving you the option to secure your nClamp to any fixed eyelet in the event that the unit is bumped or jarred.

To use tripod-compatible binoculars, you can mount a binocular tripod adaptor on an nClamp (look for an adaptor in our Online Store).
