This review is from: Global Military Gear AR-15/M4 Aluminum Quad Rail (Sports) If you are in the market for a Quad rail of this size, buy this one! Quality is outstanding, installation is easy, and the bolts add more stability that I would have ever imagined. I bought this to install on a customers rifle and I ended up liking it even more than the quad rail I have on my own rifle. This is definitely a quality piece. And its the most inexpensive aluminum handguard that I could find. Another huge plus in my book! Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comments (14)
8 of 9 people found the following review helpful You don’t need a gunsmith for this, May 15, 2012 By C. Dulick – Amazon Verified Purchase(What’s this?) This review is from: Global Military Gear AR-15/M4 Aluminum Quad Rail (Sports) I used the handles of a Channel Lock wrench to loosen the Delta ring, popped off the old handguard with a flat screwdriver and the new one popped in. 4 minutes in and out. I used a little Loctite. Note that this rail fits the Carbine length (9.25″) AR. Solid build quality and machining. 8 of 9 people found the following review helpful Great Quad rail!, July 20, 2011 By Madelife – Amazon Verified Purchase(What’s this?) This review is from: Global Military Gear AR-15/M4 Aluminum Quad Rail (Sports) I was hesitant at first to buy this rail but after reading some reviews on it I decided to purchase it. Great decision! Easy to install (10min) Great fit and gives my Bushmaster ar15 a more tactical look for a third of the price of others! Can’t wait to mount my bipod and take it to the range Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comment
I’m torn. i was about to get a 6920 but? now i don’t know if i should get a ak and use the money i would save and get a jump on my ammo stock pile
Those are? some deaf sandhill cranes.
If anyone is wondering, PSA’s are also good to go with steel case ammo in my book. Ran 900+ rounds through mine in one session? with friends and it worked 100%.
The first question to ask yourself is: 1. what do I want it for. 2. How much can I afford. 3. How much training/experience do I have.
Answer this and your well on your way to finding a rifle that will fit? you and your purpose.
When i? bought my WASR they had 36 of them i looked at all of them before i picked mine and i love it.
Just to add to your data point: I have CMMG uppers that have never seen anything BUT steel cased ammo, and never so much as a hiccup. I don;t recommend polymer coated steel cases if you’re running them hot, because it’s true that the polymer cases gum up the chamber? pretty bad. STILL never had a FTE though.
Not to mention…parts availability for both platforms? is probably most prolific for either one as opposed to something like an FS2000, etc, or even a FAL or HK-91 variant, for the matter.
it makes me super happy to see that somebody has positive things to say about the wasr, i have one and it’s? the 2nd love of my life (after the ole lady)
Im looking at a:
M1 Carbine
Colt LE-6920
Arsenal Ak (of some type)
CZ-USA VZ58
Mini 14 (Ruger)
CZ 527 (in .223)
What should I get im so Confused??! I like all of these but I? can only have one!
(To pair with my Glock 27) Please help!?
I have an post ban AR with no? flash suppressor. i am wondering if I can have one installed.
Using military ball ammo in both the M4 and the AK you can expect both to turn in around 3″ groups at 100 yards. If you put match ammo in the M4 you can whittle that down a couple of inches. Match ammo in the AK might yield 2″ groups. With match ammo the M4 has a slight advantage, but who shooting match? ammo in their fighting rifles? I agree, they are pretty evenly matched out to 300 yards, then the 7.62 starts to loose steam.
what rifle should? one buy???? ah i know the one that suits your situation
“TAC-TV Season 2, Ep. 15: Small Arms Myths – AK-47
The TAC-TV crew puts the legendary AK-47 to the test against some of it’s most famous myths, specifically? it’s accuracy problems. There is no better place to test it than the Military Ridge at the Gunsite in Northern Arizona.”
Vickers did the test with BOTH the AK-47 and the M4. In the end, with targets out to 280 yards, they came out dead even. The MYTH of the AKs “wild innacuracy” comes from the “spray & pray” method of (mis)use.
You can with the right optics. With your average iron sights or 4x not a chance, it takes a good scope to do it. But i was just using it to show the accuracy of the rifle. No matter what? optics i had on my WASR it wasn’t gonna do that. The more distance you can put between yourself and the foe the safer you are
Thanks, i read your article too, however the editorial puts a spin on a spin, which i dont think he even believes. Goal said stuff that made me laugh and i am Pro gun, but a total skeptic in? life. I also hate when groups like the NRA thinks its members are stupid and must be told what to think.
What’s the proper train of? thought when shopping for a rifle optic?
when buying a “go to” weapon, you must take into account the “commonality” factor. 5.56/.223 and 7.62×39 are readily available. also repair and replacement parts would be easier to obtain. If you get something that is “unique” in either caliber or design, you take the risk of having an expensive club (or spear w/bayonet), if you cant feed or fix it.? Good luck and good hunting.
I don’t know about you, but I could never spend close to 600 for a WASR…..it just isn’t worth it……for a few hundred more I could buy an AR15….don’t get me wrong…there is nothing wrong with the WASR….but its not exactly a quality AK so I think a more fair an honest price for it would be around 400? bucks give or take
Its a youtube? elite channel thing.
Thanks for the link.? Very enlightening. You’ve made your point.
Everyone seems to think the giant douche-bags of the universe will graciously allow us to keep the property we already legally own when the ban starts. History and the evils of human nature are catching up with America as it reverts to true tyranny where our public servants aren’t even pretending to play nice anymore. Watch the JPFO documentary “Innocents Betrayed” to see what? gun bans are all about.
Nice video, by the way!
sks?
@Garret Paulette. I ow. A dpms, and use it regularly. People will tell you its not mil. Spec. And dont buy it. However, it is a reliable and quality built system. You will hear a few more rattles when it gets banged around,? but it will run like a champ. If you only have $600 for a tactical rifle, its a GREAT buy. If you can spend more, you will also have reliability.
For the ak, would you recommend the surplus steel? mags or the bulgy circle 10 mags?
